KCC News/Upcoming Event Recruiting- Spring Game Update May 9th Friday from 6pm to 9:30pm
Back by popular demand ,Sean Callahan will be making the Kansas tour again. Where: House of Schwan 3636 N. Comotara, Wichita Who: Sean Callahan – 2006-07 Nebraska Sportswriter of the Year Price of admission includes Jiffy burgers (McCook’s special recipe version), hot dogs, chips, cookies, pop, and adult beverages. Mail in your check and reservations today – limited seating. Don’t miss this one. Admission charge is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children under 12. Deadline for signing up is Wednesday, May 7th. Why: Sean Callahan will update us on the recruits, current players and the Spring Game. Videos on 2008 recruits will be shown. This year, he is making presentations in Des Moines, Arizona, Western Nebraska, and Washington D.C. Kansas Cornhuskers polo shirts will be available for sale for $25. Raffle tickets for sale. Major Announcement: Coach Tom Osborne will be in Wichita on Thursday, June 12th for Big Brothers/ Big Sisters event. The club is working on a possible event on Wednesday evening, June 11th. Details will be discussed at Sean Callahan event on May 9th. Several club members are making his appearance possible, including Victory Sports Grille owner, Jeff Lucke.
Annual Kansas Cornhusker Club picnic August 16th from 4:30pm to 8:00pm at the Sedgwick County Extension hall at W. 21st and N. Tyler Road. Mark this date on your calendar. You won’t want to miss the picnic. Husker football tickets will be available for purchase. More details will come later. Check out our website this summer. Annual Memberships Annual membership dues are collected at our summer picnic in August. You can join or renew anytime. Membership is in effect from August to July. We will be working on including a membership list on the club’s website to show names of current members and most recent members; this will enable you to see if your membership is current.
